What Clients Say

I remember feeling so strong and connected to my body and baby during your class. I want to thank you again for your Prenatal Movement Classes and the Prenatal Partner Workshop. They really helped me manage the most painful contractions yesterday! Exhausted, sore and happy!

I ended up having our baby boy 2 weeks early and somehow he's now 6 weeks old! Thanks for any insight, and very seriously of all the Prenatal yoga classes I tried in Brooklyn, yours was by far the best.

All the classes were so helpful - especially when the active phase kicked in hard and fast. I never even made it to the birthing room..She was out 19 mins after I arrived at the birthing center! We're happy resting at home now. I would add that I met some friends through the class - a lifeline during the early days of motherhood - and having done Prenatal Movement Classes definitely made my recovery from pregnancy and childbirth easier.

We took Anna’s prenatal partner workshop a little bit before our child was born. It was great! Having a language for us to communicate with when I as the carrying person was not going to be able to talk very well. We had some cues built in and things we could try out. It was very helpful in giving actionable things we could do to help with pain to really show what kind of pain or sensations my partner might be going through. It was fun.

I still remember Anna's openness. She values comfort and curiosity and this comes through in her non-judgemental approach to movement. Great for beginners and advanced. Anna's Prenatal Partner Workshop was a welcomed way for my partner and I to hold space and think about how we would show up during the birth experience - both emotionally and physically. We were given a greater vocabulary of positions that both helped us feel ready and connected us to each other and our growing baby. Choosing a semi-private class allowed us to share and learn from another pregnant couple, too. They thought of questions or ideas we hadn't and vice versa. It was a warm way to learn as a unit and not just by myself like in a mother's only class.

I wanted to have a natural birth and was taking prenatal yoga classes with Anna. I was interested in the Prenatal Partner Workshop because I wanted to learn some techniques to deal with the pain of labor. I did not want an epidural if not absolutely necessary, but I also did not want to suffer. You learn about your body and how you can use it to ease pain and relax. I tried to follow the breathing techniques and to relax my jaw during labor and had my doula apply pressure on the points we learned in the class. The workshop also had exercises for the partners to put themselves in the position of the woman giving birth. I enjoyed the workshop and I definitely think it gave me confidence for the labor. It was great for my partner too, to put himself in my perspective. I was hoping for a natural birth and I got through the birth without any medication!
